About the game
Critter Tamer is a small, friendly monster-collecting adventure. You play Fen, a fox ranger with a green hat, walking through six areas from a sunny meadow to a windy summit. Tall grass hides fifteen original critters across five elements, and battles are turn-based: pick a move, watch it land, plan the next one. Each area has a campfire that heals your team and a ranger trainer guarding the exit.
The twist is how you make friends. Wild critters have an energy bar next to their health. Playing chase tires them out without hurting them, and a tired but healthy critter is far more likely to accept a berry than a battered one, which simply runs off.
