Curl Roll
A hedgehog hurries home through the forest. Curl into a spiky ball to roll fast over thorns and under fallen logs, but a ball cannot jump: uncurl just before every gap, as late as you dare, to keep enough speed to clear it.

Controls
TapHoldKeyboard←→↑↓ Space- Hold the left half of the screen (or ↓ / Shift) to curl into a ball: you speed up, thorns cannot hurt you and you fit under logs.
- Let go to uncurl and walk; only then can you tap the right half (or Space / ↑) to jump.
- Your jump goes as far as your speed allows, and you slow down once you uncurl, so wide gaps need a late uncurl followed by a quick jump.
- Walking into thorns or a log, or falling into a gap, costs a heart; three hearts per trail.
- Reach the den.
- Stars by time and bumps.
About the game
Curl Roll is a two-button forest dash about a hedgehog who is very good at being a ball and not very good at being a jumper. Curled up, the hedgehog is a spinning bundle of spines: it rolls fast, thorn patches cannot hurt it, and it is small enough to slip under fallen trunks hanging on vines. Uncurled, it plods along on little legs, but it can hop. The forest asks for both, often within a single second.
The heart of the game is the gap. A ball cannot jump, so you have to uncurl before the edge, and the moment you uncurl you start to slow down. Uncurl early and you stroll up to the edge with a short hop that drops you in; uncurl too late and you are still a ball when the ground runs out. The sweet spot is a beat before the edge, then a quick tap, and the wider gaps of later trails leave very little room for doubt. Thorns placed right before and after gaps make you switch shapes in a hurry, and you can curl again in mid-air to land safely on spines. Eighteen trails grow longer and tighter.
