About the game
Dots and Boxes is the pencil game everyone has played on the back of a notebook. Take turns drawing a line between two neighbouring dots. Draw the fourth side of a box and it is yours, and you must draw again. When the grid is full, the higher score wins. Play on grids from 3 by 3 up to 6 by 6 against three cats: Mochi is playful, Tiger never hands out boxes early, and Shadow plans the whole endgame.
The twist is the gem boxes. Blue diamonds are worth two points and gold crowns three, and they move around every game. That changes the classic strategy: giving away a short chain can cost more than a long one if it holds a crown.
