About the game
Belt Drive is a hands-on puzzle about pulleys. A beaver in a hard hat runs a motor that always turns clockwise, and each machine on the pegboard shows the spin it needs. Drag a belt from wheel to wheel to pass the power along. A straight belt keeps the direction, a crossed belt reverses it, and belts can't pass through crates, girders, other pulleys or each other, so the route matters as much as the count.
From level eight the size of the wheels joins in. A big wheel driving a small one doubles the speed and a small one driving a big one halves it, and stepped pulleys with two grooves let you change gear on the way. Twenty-five levels grow from one belt to tangled drives with four machines. Each level has a belt par, a wrong run blows one of three fuses, and a hint shows the next good belt.
