About the game
Capture Solo is a calm one-player chess puzzle played on a little lawn board. Every animal moves like a chess piece: the bear charges in straight lines, the fox slinks along diagonals, the owl flies any line, the frog hops in an L over anyone in the way, the chick pecks one square diagonally up and the lion takes one step in any direction. The catch is that every move must catch another animal, who happily hops off to the bench. Clear the board down to a single animal to win.
From level eight the lion wears a crown. Nobody may catch the crowned lion, so it has to be the very last animal standing, and you have to plan every catch around it. Thirty boards grow from a 4x4 warm-up to crowded 5x5 puzzles, with three stars for solving without undo.
