About the game
Cribbage has been played in pubs and kitchens for four hundred years, and this version keeps the wooden peg board and adds a teacher. Each round you get six cards and throw two into the crib, which belongs to the dealer. A starter card is cut, then you and your rival take turns laying cards and calling the running count, scoring for fifteens, thirty-ones, pairs and runs. Finally both hands and the crib are counted with the starter.
Counting is where new players get lost, so every point is explained as it happens: the cards in each fifteen, pair, run, flush or nobs light up with a short label while your peg hops along the board. The first to 61 wins. Climb a ladder of six rivals at three skill levels and earn up to three stars each.
