About the game
Fencing Duel is foil fencing seen from the side, first to five touches. Hold the arrows to step in and out, tap LUNGE to attack and PARRY to knock an attack away. A clean parry gives you a lightning-fast riposte, so the classic pattern is to wait for the lunge, parry, and hit back. Step back at the right moment and the lunge falls short, leaving the attacker wide open.
The twist is the right of way. When both blades land at the same time, the fencer who started attacking first takes the point, and a parry steals that priority. A gold lamp above each fencer shows who owns the attack, and the scoreboard calls every double hit, so throwing a late counter-lunge into an attack loses even when it lands. Eight opponents rush, wait, wall up or feint. Beat them giving up one touch or less for three stars.
