About the game
Flash Count is a quick-eye counting game set in a night garden. An owl with a lantern keeps a brass window with an iris shutter. Each round the shutter snaps open for about a second, shows a handful of fireflies, chicks, frogs, ladybugs, mushrooms, berries or gems on a mossy stage, and snaps shut again. Then you pick the right number from four tiles.
The trick is grouping. A few scattered things are easy, but twelve are not, unless they come in little dice-like groups, rows of five or groups of the same kind. After every answer the window opens again and counts the groups out loud, so 4 + 4 + 3 = 11 becomes something you can see. Twenty-four levels bring bigger counts, faster flashes and new ways to group, with three hearts and up to three stars per level.
