About the game
Musical Chairs is the party classic with a party of animals. Everyone circles the chairs while the gramophone plays, and when the music stops you tap a chair and dash for it. One player is left standing each round and one chair goes away, until the last seat decides the winner.
The record is a trickster. Now and then it pauses for a split second and starts again, and anyone who moves during that fake pause trips over their own feet. A real stop lifts the needle with a scratch, so the needle is your signal; on later levels it lifts a beat after the silence, which tempts you to gamble. Rivals get quicker, the parties get bigger and the fakes get longer.
