About the game
Pottery Wheel puts a lump of wet clay on a spinning wheel and a wooden rib in your hand. A dashed outline shows the vase the order card asks for. Drag the rib in from the side to thin the clay, or start inside the pot and drag outward to widen it, and watch the outline turn green wherever your shape fits. When it looks right, fire it in the kiln, dip it in glaze and paint the band.
The twist is touch. Clay only moves while the wheel spins, and it moves gently: press much deeper than the surface, or yank the rib, and the pot starts to wobble off-centre. Wobbling clay gets lumps, and at full wobble it collapses. The speed pedal decides how quickly you shape and how touchy the clay is. Twenty-five vases go from simple cups to bottles and double bellies, with drier clay and less room for error.
