About the game
Stock Ticker is a short, punchy trading game. Six made-up companies, from MOON bakery to GEAR robotics, change price every day. Each morning a headline breaks and often a rumour arrives. Buy and sell at today's price, then ring the bell for the next day and watch the market react. Every trade costs a small fee, so sitting on your cash or buying everything at once will not reach the target net worth by the final bell.
The twist is the tipsters. An owl, a parrot, a mole and a magpie whisper rumours, and some of them are much better at it than others. When a rumour plays out it is stamped TRUE or FALSE and the tipster's track record updates in front of you. A true rumour moves a price hard; a false one barely moves it or nudges it the other way. Twenty-five seasons get longer, more volatile and noisier.
