About the game
Orbit Ops puts you in the control room of a small imaging satellite, with an owl in a headset as your flight director. The planet turns under your orbit and things happen on it: storms spin up, volcanoes rumble, whale pods surface, wildfires and auroras flare. Each one lasts a short while. Tap it to plan a photo and the satellite takes it on its next pass, as long as it has battery and a free memory slot. Photos only count once they are sent home over a ground dish.
The sun lights only one side of the planet. In sunlight the solar panels charge; in shadow the battery drains, and a shot on the dark side costs double and comes out as a blurry night photo worth less. So the real job is timing: wait a pass for an event to turn into daylight, or take the costly night shot before it fades. 25 missions add events and shrink the battery.
