About the game
Pulse Gate is a one-tap timing game on a glowing ring. A spark races around the circle, and two gates on the ring are always lit. Tap while the spark is inside a gate to score and refill your pulse meter, which drains between hits. Tap outside a gate and the run is over.
The twist is that every tap reverses the spark. Hitting one gate sends you straight back the other way, so before you tap you are already choosing which gate comes next. As the score rises the gates shrink and drift, and gold gates are worth three points. Hitting a gate right in its centre counts as perfect, and chaining hits builds a combo. The first seconds are a warm-up where a miss is forgiven.
