About the game
Well Blocks is a falling-block stacking game built around four-cell pieces in seven shapes. Pieces drop into a ten-wide well; slide and rotate each one before it lands, and complete a whole row to clear it. Clearing several rows at once scores far more than one at a time, and four in a single drop is the big one. A ghost outline shows exactly where the piece will land, the next five pieces are always visible, and you can hold one piece in reserve to swap in later. Pieces come in shuffled sets of seven, so a long wait for the piece you need never lasts too long.
There are three ways to play. Marathon speeds up every ten lines and runs until the well overflows; chase a high score. Sprint asks you to clear forty lines as fast as you can, with stars for beating the clock. The twist is Puzzle mode: thirty handmade wells, each half-filled with grey blocks and paired with a short, fixed list of pieces. There is no gravity and no hold, only
