About the game
Air Race puts you behind a stunt plane on a pylon course, racing the clock. Your left thumb rolls the wings and your right thumb pulls. Pulling turns the plane toward the side the wings point, so a tight corner is roll first, then pull, then roll back out. Let go of PULL and the plane flies straight no matter how it is banked. Hard pulls bleed speed, smooth lines keep it. Touch a pylon and you lose three seconds, miss a gate and you lose ten.
The twist is the gate rules. Blue gates must be flown with the wings level. Red knife-edge gates are narrower than your wingspan, so you have to pass them banked on your side. Roll into knife-edge early, fly straight through, then roll back for the next turn. Eighteen tracks get longer and twistier, each with a par time set by a test pilot.
