About the game
Homing Race is a pigeon race seen from above. Your pigeon is released from a crate far from home along with rival birds, and the first one back at its loft wins. In sunshine a gold arrow on the ring around your pigeon points straight home, so you can fly the shortest line.
Then the clouds roll in. Under a cloud bank the sun is hidden and the arrow disappears, so you navigate the way real pigeons do: by landmarks and memory. Before each race a flight map shows the windmills, barns and towers on the way. Fly over one and your pigeon remembers the way home for a few seconds. Hawks dive at you and storms throw lightning, so turn hard and flap to escape. Twenty-four races add longer routes, more clouds and faster rivals.
