About the game
Checkers is the classic English draughts on an 8 by 8 board, played against a computer opponent with three strengths. Pieces move diagonally forward, a capture is a jump over an enemy piece, and if a capture is possible you must take it. Jumps chain into multi-captures, and a piece that reaches the far row is crowned king and can move both ways.
What makes this version different is the threat map. Turn it on and your pieces the AI could capture glow red, every landing square of the piece you pick is marked safe or unsafe, and while the AI thinks you see its top candidate moves as arrows. It is a gentle way to learn how a computer reads the board. Forty moves without a capture ends in a draw.
