About the game
Kebab Spear is a quick-eyed arcade game about the one rule every street cook knows: a skewer goes straight. Chunks of meat, tomato, pepper, onion, mushroom, shrimp and pineapple slide across the grill in lanes, and the ticket at the top asks for them in a precise order. Thrust from below and the skewer pierces the bottom lane first, then the next one up, and keeps going until it is full.
That is the whole trick. You can not just poke at the tomato you need if a pepper is sitting underneath it, because the pepper goes on first and the skewer is spoiled. So you watch the lanes drift past, wait for a gap or, better, for the right pieces to stack up in one column, and spear a whole order in a single thrust for four bonus seconds. Twenty-four grills add more lanes, more foods and longer orders, lanes that run both ways, burnt coal that ruins any skewer, flare-ups that speed lanes up and lanes that flash and turn around.
