About the game
Day & Night Loop is a loop-drawing logic puzzle based on Moon or Sun. The board is divided into regions, and some cells hold a sun or a moon. You draw one closed loop through the centres of the cells, turning only at right angles and never branching or crossing. The loop must visit every region exactly once, entering and leaving a single time. Inside each region it makes a choice: pass through every sun and avoid every moon, or pass through every moon and avoid every sun. On top of that, the regions take turns. After a sun region the loop must enter a moon region, then a sun region again, all the way around.
The twist is the sky. Each region starts at dusk. The moment your loop passes one of its suns, the region brightens into a clear blue day, and when it passes a moon, the region sinks into a starry night with twinkling dots. You can watch the day and night pattern form as you draw, and if two neighbouring regions on the loop end up with the same sky, a red spark marks the joint. Thirty puzzles grow from 5x5 to 8x8, each with one answer. Hints fix a wrong piece or draw a certain one.
