About the game
Sail Regatta is dinghy racing seen from above. Drag to steer around the buoys against four rivals. Your speed depends on the angle to the wind: point straight into it and the sail flaps uselessly, sail across it and you fly. To reach a mark upwind you zig-zag, and every tack costs speed while the bow swings through the wind. The sail trims itself, but a careful sailor can drag the trim bar until the telltales turn green.
The twist is reading the water. Gusts and wind shifts drift down the course as dark patches. Inside one the wind is stronger and may swing up to twenty degrees, lifting you toward the mark or knocking you off course. Pick the side with dark water, tack when a shift heads you, and pass boats that sail straight. Fifteen races add marks and sharper rivals; reach the podium to move on.
