About the game
Two Beats is a drum game about the trickiest thing drummers practise: two different rhythms at once. A frog on a low conga plays the left lane and a monkey on a high bongo plays the right. In each bar the left hand might hit three evenly spaced beats while the right hits two, and both have to land exactly on time. Golden bar lines run across both lanes so you can see where the two pulses meet.
The songs start gently, with one hand at a time, then move from 3 against 2 to 2 against 3, 4 against 3, 3 against 4 and finally 5 against 4, with the bars getting shorter as you go. Later songs flip the hands halfway through or leave out a beat, so you have to read the notes instead of looping a pattern. Every note can be hit once, and taps between notes break your groove, so steady beats win and mashing loses. 24 songs, with stars for accuracy.
