About the game
Exact Bid is a classic trick-taking game with a sharp rule: you only score if you take exactly as many tricks as you said. Over seven rounds the hands grow from two cards to five and shrink back to two. A flipped card picks the trump suit, everyone bids, then the tricks are played: follow the led suit if you can, and the highest trump or highest card of the led suit wins. An exact bid is worth 10 points plus the bid; one trick too many or too few and you get nothing.
The dealer bids last and is never allowed to make the bids add up to the number of tricks, so somebody at the table is always going to miss. The bid meter shows the running total, the banned number is crossed out, and the dealer button moves every round, so sometimes you are the one squeezed.
