About the game
Ring Puzzle is a playable version of the Chinese rings, a metal brain teaser that is hundreds of years old. A row of rings sits on a long bar, each one held by a post. The rule fits in one breath: the first ring can always slide on or off, and any other ring can move only when the ring just before it is on the bar and every ring before that is off. Tap rings to reach the goal row shown above the bar.
The surprise is how fast it grows. Two rings take two moves, five take twenty one, seven take eighty five. The way through is to think backwards: to move a big ring you first set up the smaller ones, which is the same puzzle again, only shorter. The PLAN button shows exactly that. Later levels add twin bars: one tap moves that ring on both bars wherever it is free, so you have to find the order that suits both. 25 levels, stars for matching par, and a move budget that ends the level if you wander.
