About the game
Guard Steps is a turn-based stealth puzzle. You are a masked raccoon after the gem, creeping across a board of stepping stones. Each time you take a step or wait, every guard takes one step along its fixed patrol. A guard sees its own stone and up to two stones ahead along an open path, and the lit stones show exactly where that is.
Creaky planks are the trick. Step on one and every guard within four steps turns toward the noise, walks over to look, waits a moment and then walks back to the spot it left. Use that to pull a guard off the path you need. Thirty levels, all checked by a solver, with a turn par, unlimited undo and a hint. Ghost markers show each guard's next stone.
