About the game
Stone Kick is a meadow version of philosopher's football, a classic pencil-and-board game. There is one ball and a pile of plain stones. On your turn you either place a stone on any empty point, or kick: the ball jumps over a straight line of stones and lands on the first free point beyond, and every stone it jumps flies off the pitch. You can chain jumps in one turn. Land on or past the rival's goal line to win.
The catch is that stones belong to nobody. Every stone you lay is also a stepping stone for your rival, so a careless path can carry the ball straight back into your own goal. The pitch draws the rival's best kick for you, red when it would score. An owl coach teaches the moves on the first four pitches, then six animal rivals take over across 24 levels.
