About the game
Cave Tales is a short choose-your-path adventure. Bram the badger lights his lantern and heads underground, and at every depth you choose a door: danger, treasure, mystery or a cozy camp. Behind it waits a bat swarm, a rope-less chasm, a mole who loves to trade or an old chest. Each way of dealing with it is a dice check, two dice plus one of your stats, and the button shows your exact chance before you commit.
There are no experience points here. Brave, Wits and Nimble each grow by one every time you choose a move that uses them, win or lose, so your explorer becomes whatever you keep doing. Lean on courage and fights get easy while locks stay hard. Items such as rope, torches, cheese and keys open safer routes, and every expedition ends with a guardian. Watch your hearts and your lantern oil across 24 expeditions in four caves. Camps are a good moment to train your weakest stat.
