About the game

Echo Canon is a rhythm game where your only bandmate is your own voice. A fox pup stands on a canyon ledge and sings one note on every beat, and the far canyon wall sings it back two beats later. That means every note you choose plays together with the note you sang a moment ago, like a tiny round sung by one singer.

So you are always playing a duet with yourself. Notes a third or a sixth apart ring out sweetly, fifths and fourths sound strong, repeating the same note gets dull, and two neighbouring notes clash. The staff shows your echo coming as a blue circle, so you can pick a partner for it in time. Gold notes are fixed melody notes you must hit, which means planning the note before them too. Twenty-four songs grow faster and longer, add rests, and finally move to a deeper canyon where the echo returns after three beats.
