About the game
Forecast Desk makes you the weather owl of a small town. Every morning you get three maps. The pressure map shows highs, which mean fair weather, and lows, which bring clouds and rain; the deeper the low, the more rings around it. The wind map shows where each system is heading by tomorrow. The humidity map shows how much moisture is in the air. Put them together and call tomorrow: sun, clouds, rain or storm. Then the day plays out, and the town decides how much it trusts you.
The interesting part is storms, because two kinds of mistakes are not equal. A false alarm cancels plans and annoys everyone; a missed storm is far worse. How much each one costs depends on the town: a harbor wants every possible storm called, a festival town hates false alarms. The weather drifts a little off the arrows, so you are often deciding under real uncertainty. 20 seasons with busier skies, and stars for the trust you finish with.
