About the game
Mini Shogi is Japanese chess squeezed onto a five by five board. Each side starts with a king, gold, silver, bishop, rook and one pawn, and every piece carries little dots for the ways it can step, so you can play your first game without learning anything by heart. Tap a piece and its legal moves light up.
The big difference from western chess: a piece you capture joins your tray, and on a later turn you can drop it back onto any empty square as your own. Reach the far row and most pieces promote into stronger ones. Watch the trays: when a drop would give check, that piece glows, on your side and on the AI side. Beat the easy, normal and hard opponents in turn.
