About the game
Pole Vault turns the most technical jump in athletics into three well-timed taps. First comes the run-up: every stride has a beat, and tapping right on it builds speed, while missed or sloppy beats slow you down. Near the box time slows, and the runway shows a yellow early zone, a green take-off band and a red danger zone. Plant in the green for a full, springy bend. Plant early and the jump is safe but weaker. Plant too late and the pole snaps, and that attempt is gone.
The bend is simulated and drawn: your speed and the quality of the plant load the pole, and it springs you upward as it straightens. Tap again when the pole stands upright to push off for extra height, then watch your fox clear the bar or knock it down. Like a real competition, each meet has three rising heights and three tries at each, from 2.20 m in the first meet to over 5 m at the end. Stars depend on how few misses you need.
