- The lane at the bottom shows the coming passes of the pink and blue ropes sliding toward the line, with a faint dot where you should jump.
- Clear the number of passes shown; three trips end the round.
About the game
Skip Rope is a rhythm game in a sunny schoolyard. A bunny stands between two animal friends who turn long ropes, and all you do is tap to jump. Time it so the bunny is in the air at the moment a rope sweeps past its feet; a jump right in the middle of the pass is perfect, and three trips end the round. Each round asks for a number of clears, and the tempo creeps up as the rounds go on.
The twist is the second rope. The first rounds use a single rope and a steady beat. Then two ropes turn in opposite directions, taking turns, and after that they turn at different speeds, three against two, so the gaps between jumps change in a repeating pattern instead of ticking evenly. In the last rounds a turner occasionally skips a turn, so a jump you were expecting never comes. The lane at the bottom shows every coming pass of the pink and the blue rope sliding toward the jump line, with a faint marker where your tap should land, so you can read the pattern before you feel it. Stars come from clean rounds and perfect jumps.
