About the game
Tablecloth Pull turns the oldest dinner-party trick into a quick test of nerve. A fox magician in a top hat stands at the end of the table, the guests lean in, and one flick of your finger decides whether the plates stay put or end up on the floor.
The rule is real physics in miniature. The cloth drags every dish by friction for as long as it is underneath, so a slow pull carries the dishes toward the edge while a fast one leaves them almost where they were. Speed alone is not enough, though: tilt the swipe even slightly upward and the cloth lifts, flipping wine glasses, candles and flower vases. Twenty tables bring longer cloths, heavy velvet, slippery silk, cakes, teapots and a sleepy hamster guest. Stars depend on how little the dishes moved.
