About the game
Water Polo is a quick-passing team game in the pool. You always control the otter with the ball, or the one closest to it when the other team attacks. Swim toward goal, pass to a team-mate by pointing at them, and shoot past the goalie when you get close. On defence, swim right up to the ball carrier to knock the ball loose.
The twist is the ball itself: whoever holds it starts to sink. A ring around the holder fills up, they swim slower and lower, and when it is full the ball slips away to the other side. The same rule applies to your rivals, so a defender who sticks close can force a turnover just by waiting. Swimming hard also tires your otter out. Teams get faster, smarter and sharper as you climb.
