About the game
Gear Works is a hands-on puzzle about spinning things. A motor turns on the left, and dials wait somewhere on the board, each with an arrow that says which way it must turn. Pick a small, medium or large gear from the tray and drop it on a peg. When two gears touch, their teeth mesh and the second one spins the other way, so every gear in a chain flips the direction.
That simple rule is the whole puzzle. Count the gears between the motor and a dial, and you know which way it will turn. Too close and gears collide; too far and nothing moves; a loop that disagrees with itself jams and shakes red. Later levels add belts, which reach across the board and keep the direction instead of flipping it. Thirty levels, all solvable.
