About the game
Hex is a two-player connection game invented in the 1940s, and a game can never end in a draw. You play red and try to build an unbroken chain of hexes between your two red sides, while the robot tries to link its two blue sides. Every stone you place helps you and blocks your rival at the same time. The chips at the top count how many more hexes each side still needs.
Going first is a big advantage, so Hex Connect uses the pie rule. After the opening stone, the second player may swap and take that stone for themselves. Open too strongly and the robot steals it; open too weakly and you fall behind. Pick a 9×9 or 11×11 board and one of three robots, from friendly Bolt to Oracle.
