About the game
Measure Up is a quiz about the sizes of everyday things. A pencil, a bus, a giraffe, a watermelon or a bathtub appears with one question: how long is it, how tall, how heavy, or how much does it hold. Four answers wait below, and only one is the right size; the others are ten, a hundred or a thousand times off at first. Pick the right one before the timer runs out. Three wrong or late answers and the round is over, and every answer chip shows the true size so you learn something either way.
The twist is the unit switch. One tap on the METRIC / IMPERIAL button rolls every answer over between centimetres, kilograms and litres and inches, pounds and gallons, so you can think in whichever system feels natural and then learn the other. From level 21 the round starts in imperial, and the feedback chip always shows both, such as 18 cm = 7.1 in. Thirty levels cover lengths and heights, then weights, then volumes, then a mix, while the wrong answers move from ten times off to three times and finally just twice the size. The hint button gives a size to compare with, like a door being about two metres tall.
