About the game
Ribbon Routine is a rhythm game about drawing shapes in the air. A fox gymnast steps onto the arena mat, the music starts and a dotted path appears: a big circle, a wavy snake, a spiral, a figure eight or a row of loops. A glowing comet travels the path on the beat, and the tip of your ribbon has to meet each gold star as the beat lands.
The catch is that a ribbon never follows the wand right away. The tip is always a moment behind your finger, so if you simply chase the comet you will be late. Good gymnasts lead the shape a little early and let the ribbon flow into place. Three animal judges hold up score cards after every phrase, and twenty-four routines bring faster music and, twice, a longer ribbon.
