About the game

Wall Lines is a tidy logic puzzle about measuring. Every empty cell gets a line, either sideways or upright. The dark cells hold numbers, and each number is the total length of the lines that run straight out of it: sideways lines to its left and right, upright lines above and below. A line stops counting as soon as it meets a line turned the other way, another number, or the edge of the board. Every puzzle has exactly one answer.

The twist is the measuring tape. Lines are laid as yellow tape with tick marks, and you can lay a whole strip with one swipe. Each number wears a ring that fills as tape is laid against it, so you can see at a glance how much length is still missing; it turns green when the length is exact and closed off, and red the moment the number can no longer be met. Small boards teach the counting, larger ones ask you to balance numbers that share the same strips.
