About the game
ABC Ends is a tidy placement puzzle. Each row and each column holds the letters A, B and C exactly once (and D on the bigger boards), and every other cell stays blank. The only clues sit around the edge. A letter beside a row is the first letter you'd meet looking in from that side, skipping over any blanks, and the same goes for letters above and below the columns.
The twist turns those clues into little flashlights. As you fill the grid, each edge letter lights up the first letter it can see: green when it matches, red when it doesn't. So you always know which clue you've broken. Thirty puzzles run from 4x4 with three letters to 7x7 with four, every one with exactly one answer. The later ones need you to try a letter and watch the line fall apart.
