About the game
Whistle Line is a gentle rhythm game about singing along with a bird at sunset. A blue songbird whistles a melody, and you see it as a glowing line scrolling in from the right. Hold your finger down and slide up and down: your little chick sings the pitch under your finger, the songbird sings the real tune, and when you drift off you can hear the two voices clash.
Unlike tap-the-note games, pitch here is continuous. Long notes must be held steady, slides must be followed smoothly, and vibrato and quick trills ask you to wobble in time. Each beat is judged once, by how much of it you spent on the line, so frantic tapping earns nothing, and whistling into a rest costs breath. Missed beats drain your breath meter, and running out ends the song. There are 24 songs that bring in slides, vibrato, big jumps and trills step by step, with stars for accuracy.
