About the game
Wingmen is a classic formation shooter with robot bugs. They fly in, line up across the top of the screen and peel off to dive at your ship while you slide left and right, firing on your own.
The green tractor bots are the twist. One will park in the middle of the screen and drop a long beam. Shoot the beam three times and the bot switches sides, flying next to you as a wingman and firing with you. You can fly with up to three of them, which turns your single shot into a wall of fire. But do not linger inside a beam: it pulls up one of your wingmen, or your own ship if you have none, and enemy shots and divers can knock wingmen out too. Stages get faster as you go, and big scores earn extra ships.
