About the game
Durak means fool, and in this Russian classic nobody really wins: the goal is simply not to be the last player holding cards. One card under the deck sets the trump suit. The attacker leads, and you must beat every attack card with a higher card of the same suit or with a trump, or pick up the whole table. Attackers can keep throwing in cards of any rank already showing, so every defence is a small puzzle.
After your first wins the pass-on rule unlocks. Before you beat anything, add a card of the same rank and the entire attack bounces back to your rival, who now has to deal with it. Rivals who know the trick use it on you too. Beat six rivals, from relaxed beginners to a card-counting grandmother, for up to three stars each.
