About the game
Flood Gate is a calm but tense water puzzle seen from above. Rain in the hills sends a flood wave down the valley, and the forecast strip at the top shows exactly when it will peak. The river that runs through the village can carry a steady amount of water, marked by the dashed line, but everything above that floods the streets. Your tools are sluice gates on the canals, leading into fields and ponds that can hold the extra water.
The catch is timing. Water keeps flowing while a gate moves, small wooden gates swing in a second, heavy steel gates take several seconds, and a full field simply spills over. Open the fields too early and they are already full when the peak arrives; close every way out of a basin and the levee breaks. Later valleys add more canals, slower gates and double waves. Stars depend on how dry the village stays.
