About the game
Sale Math puts you behind a shop counter. Animal customers walk up with an item, and the receipt next to them shows the sum you need to do: change from the money they paid, the price after a sale, a sale followed by change, or a sale with tax added on top. Four price tags hang below, one right and three that match the usual slips, like answering with the discount instead of the price, or forgetting the tax. Tap the right tag before the timer runs out. Three mistakes and the queue gives up.
The twist is a book of mental-math tricks that opens as you play. Each new kind of sum starts with a trick card: count up from the price to make change, move the decimal point for 10%, halve and halve again for 25%, add half of 10% to get 15%, and so on. The hint button shows the trick for the customer in front of you and slows the timer while it is on screen, but the three-star rating only goes to rounds you finish without it. Thirty levels move from whole-number change to cents, then through common percentages, sale plus change, and sale plus tax, ending with mixed shifts.
