About the game
Country Lanes is a loop-drawing logic puzzle based on Country Road. The board is split into fields with thick borders. You lay one closed lane through the centres of the cells, going straight or turning at right angles, never branching or crossing itself. The lane must visit every field exactly once: it enters a field, wanders through some of its cells, and leaves, never coming back. When a field has a number, the lane passes through exactly that many of its cells. One more rule stops the lane from cutting corners: two empty cells may never sit side by side across a field border.
The twist is that fields glow. The moment a field is entered once and crossed the right number of times, it turns lush green with a soft chime, and a field the lane enters twice blushes red. Once the lane closes into a loop, any two empty cells touching across a border get a red bar. Thirty puzzles grow from 5x5 to 8x8, each with one answer. Hints fix a wrong piece or lay a certain one.
