About the game
Flag Line is a tactical card game for two, played across a line of nine flags. The deck has sixty cards in six colours numbered one to ten. Each turn you play one card to your side of a flag and draw a new one. When both sides of a flag hold three cards, the stronger formation takes it: a run in one colour beats three of a kind, which beats a single colour, which beats a plain run, and anything else is decided by the total. Win five flags, or three next to each other.
The clever part is the early claim. As soon as your side of a flag is finished, you may take the flag even though your rival is still building, provided you can prove that no combination of the cards still unplayed could beat you. The game checks the proof for you and marks claimable flags with a gold tick, but spotting the moment and setting it up is your job. Rivals do it too, and the later animals plan carefully.
