About the game
Gravity Cart is a downhill soapbox race where the real race starts in the workshop. Before every course you build a cart from a wooden crate, an old barrel or a cast-iron bathtub, add pram, bike or tractor wheels, and decide how many sandbags to strap on. Then a raccoon in a red helmet rolls off the ramp against two rival critters, and all you control is the steering and one brake pedal.
The twist is weight. A heavy cart thunders down the steep runs, but it crawls on the flat bits and has to brake much earlier for every corner. A light cart is the opposite. Each of the twenty courses mixes steep drops, flats, bumps and hairpins, and the workshop shows the course profile and how heavy your rivals are, so the right build changes from hill to hill. Win to clear a course, skip the hay bales for a second star, and beat the gold time for the third.
