About the game
President is a fast climbing card game played around the world under many names. Four players share the deck. Whoever leads may play a single card, a pair, three of a kind or four of a kind; everyone after must play the same number of cards of a higher rank, or pass. When nobody can or will beat the table, the last player to play clears it and leads again. Cards rank from 3 up to ace, and the 2 is the highest card of all. The first player to empty their hand becomes President, then come Vice, Commoner and, last of all, the Beggar.
Ranks matter in the next round: the Beggar must hand the President their two best cards and gets two unwanted ones back, while the Commoner and the Vice swap one. The twist is the Revolution. Play four of a kind and the whole table flips over: until the round ends, 3 becomes the strongest card and 2 the weakest, which can rescue a hand full of low cards. Each table is a three-round match against a fox, a penguin and a frog, and the most points wins. Stars: win the match, win without hints, and be President in two of the three rounds.
