About the game
Squad Tactics is a bite-sized turn-based battle game. Your squad has three soldiers: a rifleman, a fast scout and a heavy with grenades. Each soldier gets two actions per turn: move, shoot, throw a grenade or go on overwatch. Shooting or overwatch ends that soldier's turn, so moving into a good spot first is half the battle. Every shot shows its hit chance before you take it.
Cover is everything. Half cover like crates and full cover like walls make you much harder to hit, but only from the front, so circling around to flank a robot leaves it wide open. The twist is that cover breaks: missed shots chip it away and grenades blow it apart, and overwatch lets a soldier fire at the first robot that moves into view. Fifteen missions add more and tougher robots.
