About the game
Pair Areas is a region-drawing logic puzzle based on Araf. The grid is dotted with numbers, and your job is to divide every single cell into areas. Each area must contain exactly two numbers, no more and no fewer, and the number of cells in it must lie strictly between those two numbers. A 2 and a 6 can share an area of 3, 4 or 5 cells, but not 2 or 6. Choosing which numbers belong together is half the puzzle; making the leftover cells fit is the other half.
The twist is a live size meter. While you drag to paint an area, a little label follows your finger showing the cell count and the range it needs, like 5 (2 < 5 < 8), and it turns green the moment the area fits. Areas that hold two numbers but the wrong size are faded and striped, so problems stand out. Thirty puzzles grow from 4x4 to 8x8. Tap a painted cell to erase it, undo freely, and use a hint to reveal one correct area when stuck.
